Now and then a project comes along that is, without a doubt, different from the mainstream. We love that! It makes us question the norm and allows us to flex our creativity. This remodel was definitely that! Take for example the island. Or was it a peninsula? It was, after all, attached to the perimeter cabinetry by an isthmus - a corner cabinet on one side, a cute little bookshelf on the other. It's the quirky things that give it a sense of being antique - who hasn't had a 'What were they thinking?' moment when going through an old house? Again, the homeowner was deeply involved in the overall look she wanted, and she sourced most, if not all, of the accessory items that made the finished project such a delightful success.
