For this custom home in the foothills of Reno the client's brief was simple - she wanted clean lines and an uncluttered look, with no visual distractions to mar the view of the hills and mountains from her windows. She wanted her cabinetry, and most of her furniture, to be the purest of whites. We used a flat slab door style in high-gloss laminate on all the cabinetry, only using handles in rooms without those beautiful views. In the theater, where white would have been a distraction, we used a high-gloss olive- wood laminate, again handle-less, to maintain the uncluttered look typical throughout the house.
